Fathers Day

Happy Father's Day !
We spent the day together...
went to church & then to the Rec Center Pool Lana was soooo excited before we left the house in her bathing suit an sun hat she was smiling an flopping all around. However, on the way to the pool she found a nap hidden somewhere inside her. She awoke briefly as Jimmy an I sat her in the water BUT only with the look and a whimper of c'mon guys I really want to sleep !

Our First Easter

Easter Sunday was so different this year... Having being used to just getting up and throwing on some sweats and heading the beach for sunrise service I got a quick jolt of reality. I awoke early that morning and realizing that the weather would be too cool and windy for Lana at the beach I opted to go to regular church service instead. The morning started off rather strange as the Easter Bunny had visited us HOWEVER, Madeline nor Drew were not one bit interested in their baskets. We arrived at church an I realized I had forgotten my camera as I wanted a picture of all us. Lana was a little restless during church that day which was odd because she generally sleeps from the time we leave the house until we get home. After leaving church I asked my mom to take a picture of all of us. Well it took some persuading to get some of us to take the picture (no names mentioned / Jimmy & Drew) What I thought was going to be a pretty good family picture turned out as you see. My mom because of the sun could not see that she totally cut out Lana from the picture and as for the rest of us don't we just look thrilled. The only one pleasantly smiling was miss happy go lucky Madeline. Coming home we had the normal tit for tat amongst Drew and Madeline which was really aggravating me especially after no one wanted to have their picture made at the house either. All I wanted was one complete family picture that day ! LOL . I guess there is always next year.

"Less than 10 Days"

With less than 10 days until little bit arrives we are doing better and better with each doctor visit. Poor ole Jimmy no matter if he is off or just got in from work with 2 1/2 hours of sleep manages to pull himself together and go with me. A little grumpy at times and mostly delirious from no sleep he is always right beside me no matter what. I went to my scheduled appointment today on pins and needles that this might be the day that he puts me in for delivery. I am just trying to make it past this Tuesday because Jimmy is going out of town for work and I really want him to be able to go with LDB : ) We had a very positive appointment as my blood pressure is doing just fine and all my lab work seems to be getting better each week instead of worse. I am not in the clear by any means but the doctor sees no reason we will have to deliver before the scheduled due date of March 19th. No signs of pre-eclampsia as long as I continue the bed rest. Thanks to all have kept us in your prayers.

I'M A BIG GIRL NOW !

I am now going to the doctor every week for my check ups. Which is a good thing but it also keeps me on my guard as well . Every week I know I have to step on that scale and then be faced with the dreaded blood pressure cuff... Everything has been going well with my visits. I had one occasion a couple of weeks ago where my blood pressure spiked and I was threatened with hospitalization an bed rest. My doctor ordered all blood be drawn from body in entirety for testing it seemed. Thankfully, all tests once again came back with normal ranges and all organs functioning as they should. My blood pressure was back to normal and has reamained normal ever since that one appointment. I am just having to take it easy and rest on my left side when I am not working or have to be out an about.

My appointment this morning went well. Blood Pressure was good and weight was ok. Only thing this time was I am measuring now a little larger than the norm SO we will see how she progresses and grows in the upcoming weeks. My tummy for the last 4 - 5 days it seems has been unusually sore and I have not felt too well. I have felt like I have been doing 100 stomache crunches everyday. I have given in to the big tub we have an have started soaking everyday about 20 minutes. This seems to help and relax me. Can't help but wonder now if all this is because "Little Bit" decided to take a growth spurt... Doctor is not worried at all and says she just may be a bigger baby than what we have been thinking. I know this will make Jimmy very happy as he has deemed himself to have "ESPN" haha as he says and predicts a 8.5 - 9 lbs & about 22+ inch little girl.

I did my last blood withdrawl hopefully this morning which was my iron test. I actually went and did this by myself and without my security blanket AKA as "ice pack" and also without Jimmy (which was an absolute first) The ladies at Quest Diagnostics are so proud of me and impressed with my progression from being terrified to being able to come in an give blood on my own without that ice pack and that sweet big man that always comes with me - she laughed an said that I had grown up now an was a big girl now !

Nursery Decor Set !

After many trying hours on the internet I stumbled upon the most adorable Crib Bedding, of course cuteness comes with a price LOL. It's made by Glenna Jean and is called "Just Buggy" I am also going with White Furniture. I have always been a fan of Cherry Wood but my sister actually got me thinking about white and as she said it just looks girlish an she is right. Being the thrifty genious that I am (haha) I decided that I really really really wanted this but just could not come to terms of spending this much money on bedding. We are going this weekend to fabric stores and try to match the different patterns and textures. A very good friend of our has accepted the challenge to make this for me. The only thing I will be out right buying will be the bed skirt. I just got to have the Pom Poms and its more cost effective to purchase it. So Dragon Flies, Lady Bugs and Pinks and Browns will be my Nursery !

"Little Bits" arrival date has been set !

Jimmy an I went to the Doctor on January 31st and closed the deal on our little girl. We will be arriving the hospital @ 5am on March 19th and she will be delivered via C-Section by 8:18am per the doctor. Jimmy is holding her to the schedule she set so we will see how all progresses. My health and well being are all going well, just keep me/us in your prayers please. I was so pleased with the scales this month that I almost wanted to go celebrate and have my long awaited Chinese General T's Chicken or Fried Rice with Shrimp Sauce. However, I was able to divert from that disaster and return home to eat a healthy meal. Some of you know that I don't get too overly excited and that my emotions stay tucked - I can't help but say on this day I was excited and was truly happy that all tests (blood pressure, sugar/protein and weight) were good.

We recently had another brain storm for little bits name. It's quite cute and fits her well. "Lana Pearse Nettles" (not sure of the spelling of the middle name) we are awaiting to see what our little bundle of joy looks like and will decide if she looks like a Lana or "Alexis" to be called Alex. Again, the story behind this name is best told by Jimmy - just ask him - he tells it oh so well... : )

With Christmas out of the way an certainly not to much time left before im due, for all of those whom are wondering, YES - Jimmy an I are starting to work on the nursery... Do we have a theme or color scheme NO... But we are starting to prepare her room any thoughts, suggestions or contributions are always welcomed : ) Having raised a boy for 15 years all I know is Balls, Balls, Balls & Balls - New York Yankees and Florida Gators. Which I am sure she will have some of these outfits - actually she already does but for me my little princess is going to be a "Priss" so her room has to be comfy, cozy and of course PINK !
